Commuter Plane Saturday, March 13, 1999
Depart for Malta
Jeff and Faye fly to Cincinatti, then on to Zurich.
Grand Harbor and Fort St. Angelo Sunday, March 14, 1999
Arrive in Malta
The last leg of the flight is from Zurich to Malta. Jeff and Faye arrive at their hotel in Valletta.
Tapestry Detail, St. John's Co-Cathedral Museum Monday, March 15, 1999
Valletta and Sliema
Jeff and Faye explore Valletta, visiting the Grand Masters' Palace and St. Johns Co-Cathedral. In the evening, they travel across the harbor to Sliema.
French Creek Shipyards and Isla. Tuesday, March 16, 1999
Tarxien, Marsaxlokk, and the Three Cities
Jeff and Faye visit the Archaeological Museum in Valletta and then head out to the the ruins at Tarxien. They ride the bus to Marsaxlokk, and take a walk through the countryside. They ride back to Paola, and take a long walk through the three cities of Bormla, Isla, and Birgu.

Todays adventures include the walled city of Mdina, and its suburb, Rabat.
Fortifications, Gozo Citadel Thursday, March 18, 1999
Gozo
A bus and a ferry take Jeff and Faye to the Island of Gozo. They spend the day of exploring the historic citadel and enjoying the view from its walls. They are almost stranded on the island when high winds cancel the regular ferry service.

Personal Visits
Jeff and Faye spend the day visiting friends in Malta.
Knights/Guides at Fort St. Angelo Saturday, March 20, 1999
Fort St. Angelo, Hagar Qim, Valletta
Jeff and Faye's friend Rosette takes them to Fort St. Angelo, and to the megalithic ruins at Hagar Qim and Mnajdra. Then they take a last walk around Valletta, and attend a performance at the historic Manoel theater.

Return Home
Jeff and Faye depart early in the morning for the long flight home.
