Monday Morning, March 15 Jeff and Faye Set out to explore Valletta

We just had our continental breakfast of thick slabs (not slices!) of bread with butter & jam, very strong hot tea, ham & cheese and orange juice. We nearly needed sunglasses in the dining room, the sun is so bright on the bay!

Our hotel sits on a hill overlooking the grand harbor. We have a tiny room with 16 foot ceilings, mosaic tile floor and pure white white-washed plaster walls. There is a galleria--a tiny sunroom or a large bay window! with two chairs, glassed-in, but windows open to the sea breeze this morning. The bathroom has the tiniest little tub, but super-high ceilings! You turn the potty on/off to flush--can't forget to turn it off or it just keeps flushing!

We are off to see Valleta today!
