Insight Guides: Malta Insight Guides: Malta, ed. Geoffrey Aquilina Ross, APA Publications, 1998 The Insight Guides are known for their beautiful pictures and their wealth of information of the countries they cover. This is not a step-by-step tourist guide, but a good overview of Malta, it's history, people, culture, and geography. Available in travel bookstores and on the internet. There is now a second Insight Guide about Malta, presumably with a different focus. |

Malta, Gozo and Comino Malta, Gozo and Comino, by Simon Gaul, Cadogan Guides, 1993 This book was Jeff and Faye's primary tour guide on their trip. It was a little bit dated -- several things had changed in the six years since it was published. But overall, it was very informative -- very detailed information. The author definitely has "character" -- perhaps a little too cynical at times, but always interesting. Should be available in travel bookstores or on the internet. |

Malta Tourism Brochures Brochures from the Malta Tourism Authority The Malta Tourism Authority (formerly NTOM - National Tourism Organization of Malta) publishes a large number of very helpful brochures for travellers in Malta. They are informative and have great pictures and maps. A whole set is as good as any tourist guide. Available from MTA http://www.visitmalta.com. |
