Mdina and Rabat Todays adventures include the walled city of Mdina, and its suburb, Rabat. |
Jeff and Faye brave cool, windy weather, board the bus and head for the narrow, winding streets
of the medieval walled city of Mdina.
Even on a hazy day, the view from the city wall is spectacular.
A closeup of the weathered city wall.
Detail from the dome of St. Paul's Cathedral.
It is said that St. Luke painted this icon.
In Mdina's sububrb, Rabat, Jeff and Faye visit the remains of a Roman residence.
The continue to St. Agatha's catacombs, and then to St. Paul's grotto.
It is said that St. Paul was held by the Romans in this grotto
during his time in Malta.
